During the month of November and December, coaches will take a break from day-to-day responsibilities - similar to summer training.
OFF SEASON TRAINING IS ESSENTIAL FOR IMPROVEMENT. Toward the end of November, we will post training for December-January and some of February. This training will include additional strength exercises to prevent injury during the upcoming track season. When we return from Winter Break, coaches will meet at the indoor track on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30-4:00 PM. These days are the hard workout days and days when we will teach you the drills and exercises we will build on throughout the winter/spring. While coaches will only meet you two days a week, we still expect you to follow the entire training plan that is posted. VARSITY athletes will be held accountable for training - expect to hear from coaches if we do not see you at practice. Please continue your training logs (or start them up again)! Coaches may not be present to collect them, but we will expect you to be able to communicate your weekly mileage throughout the winter, so that we have an understanding of your fitness before track season.
