We have now been given permission to have everyone meet together for practices! Plan on being to practice at 7:30 AM each morning at the designated spot. Please note that for Monday's practice we will be meeting at the track!
We have added a new "Weekly Mileage" tab to the website. Everyone is expected to keep track of their miles each day, then fill out the form at the end of each week. Monday: 4-8 Mile Recovery Run + Lifting (OHS Track) Tuesday: 4-9 Mile Roller Coaster Run #2 + Core (OHS Track) Wednesday: 0-8 Mile Trail Run + Lifting (Pipeline trail) Thursday: 4-8 Mile Progression Run + Core (OHS Track) Friday: 4-7 Mile Recovery Run + Lifting (Cottonwood Complex) Saturday: 5-10 Mile Long Run (OHS) Total: 21-50 Miles This last week we had to make some more adjustments due to Covid-19. Our original plan was to hold Monday and Friday practices at Sugarhouse Park, but Sugarhouse Park is in SLC, and because they are still operating in the Orange Phase, it has made it difficult to hold practices there. We may need to make further adjustments, but for this week we will be moving Monday's practice to Murray, and Friday's practice to Cottonwood Complex. All maps for meeting places are under the "Summer Practice" tab, and also in the previous post.
Girls meet everyday at 7:30 AM, boys meet at 7:45 AM- Please make sure to come at the designated times and to socially distance! We are parking in the Murray Park South Parking Area (X marks the spot) which is southeast of the County Ice Center. You can access the Ice Center from either 5300 S or Off of State Street. The parking area is where they start and finish at the Murray Invite. County Ice Center 5201 South Murray Park Lane Murray, UT 84107 Nice job on our first Roller Coaster run of the season! We are so excited to start our Cross Country training! How well we train in the summer will determine how great we are in the fall. Commit now to not only make it to summer practices, but to put forth your best efforts when you are there.
