Please create a profile online at www.registermyathlete.com and register for Boys or Girls Cross Country for the 2019-2020 season. We need everyone on here even if you don't have your physical yet. I need to see your name on the list to hold you accountable! IMPORTANT: Without a complete registration on www.registermyathlete.com, you cannot be on our school's team. If you haven't had a physical in the last year, you must get one before the time trial on August 8th. You must bring a paper copy of the UHSAA file to your doctor: http://www.uhsaa.org/forms/forma.pdf. Coach Betsy needs that completed physical paper. Only paper copies will work. Athletic Director Ashton, will not accept physicals uploaded onto RegisterMyAthlete. PLEASE NOTE: Dr. Chipman will conduct physicals at the high school after practice during the first full week of August. The cost is $20, all proceeds go to the XC team. PHYSICAL PAPERWORK MUST BE IN BEFORE THE TIME TRIAL ON AUGUST 8th. If you would still like to race in the 10K, but didn't register, you can still do so. Online registration closes on Sunday, July 21. Late registration will be available at packet pick-up on July 22 and 23. You will not be placed on a team, but you can still come and race it with the team.
Packet Pickup-You are responsible for picking up your own packet Salt Lake City Marriott University Park 480 S. Wakara Way Salt Lake City, UT 84108 July 22 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. July 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is no race day pick up. At packet pickup you will get your race bib with timing chip, shirt and goodie bag. You may park in the Marriott hotel parking lot, enter through the main entrance and proceed downstairs. Race Day: The team will meet at the intersection of Chipeta Way and Tabby Lane up by the start of the race. The address 501 Chipeta Way, Salt Lake City, UT 84108 will take you to a parking area right next to the intersection. Be there by 5:10 AM. At 5:15 AM the team will begin the warm-up. Girls will do 1-1.5 miles and boys will do 1-2 miles. Then we will stretch as a team, go through a dynamic warm-up, and finish with strides right before the start. The race starts at 6am. I will be racing the 10K and Coach Betsy will be running the 1/2 marathon. Afterwards the team will meet up in Liberty Park for a cool-down and to hang out for a bit. Wear something Olympus!!
