olympus cross country team expectations
TEAM EXPECTATIONS: Cross Country is a team sport. Like any team sport, we all need to strive to be at practice together every day. We also have one or two team meetings every week, which should be considered mandatory. Every team sport has these same basic expectations.
Every athlete is expected to follow District policies, which require you to travel with the team, on the bus, to and from every meet. If an unusual circumstance requires you to travel separately from the team, this must be communicated with the Head Coach at the latest 24 hours before the meet. If an athlete is not on the bus, it will be assumed that athlete is not competing, and this will be communicated to the race director.
VARSITY EXPECTATIONS: In addition to the Team Expectations, Varsity athletes:

- Must attend team practice every day
- Must attend every team meeting
- Must communicate with the Head Coach BEFORE practice if an unusual circumstance does not allow attendance/participation at a practice or team meeting
- Must communicate with the Head Coach if they have to deviate from the team training plan, so coaches can coordinate and help prevent injuries, etc.
